Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 in 1970) is an American actress best known for portraying detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter as well on NBC's Providence drama and The Resident's medical thriller The Resident. She received critical acclaim in her portrayal of Eleni Anderson Cooper, her first TV role on CBS soap show Guiding Light. The actress has also appeared on 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Lightning Thief and Snitch. She is reportedly developing a movie adaptation of writer Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the duo who wrote the script for Immortals. She is also filming for an upcoming TV series called Gods & Heroes.
