Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic performance. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci when she was just 6 years old. The year 1969 was the first time she took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she won three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974, she was an all-around junior champion. When she competed for the first time at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals as well with one silver. In 1976, she became the first female athlete in the world to use a backwards-double salto in order to take off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the world of entertainment began in her teens when she started doing figure skating alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry during her teenage years. Early on, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows included skaters who were followed by musical performances.
