She recently directed her first film alongside Nicole C. Mullen in the short film THE GOD THAT SEES. In the film, the two wrote the music together. Gifford has been a patron of numerous groups that help children including Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children and Cassidy's Place. The two houses named to honor her children were the Cassidy's House and Cody House. Her work in the field of employment relations has earned her an honorary doctorate at Marymount University.
